In part 5 of "Sharon, Solo with the Boys," Sharon Cuneta sang "Perfect Combination" with Raymond Lauchengco. This concert was a product of its time. The said was another hit song from 1984 by Stacy Lattisaw and Johnny Gill. 2 years later, Sharon does another Stacy song entitled "Love Me Like the First Time" for the movie Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas. Raymond was introduced in Cross My Heart as Sharon's intellectual and boring boyfriend in 1982. In 1983 he starred with Maricel Soriano in Saan Darating ang Umaga which incidentally was offered first to Sharon along with Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? as seque to her first adult role. Pinapili siya sa dalawa. Whatever was left will be given to Maricel. At alam na natin ang kinalabasan ng choice niya: a 10m at the box-office reunion movie with Gabby Concepcion which became the highest grossing film of that time and a Best Actress award!
Initially kaya in-introduce si Maricel sa isang Viva, balak silang pagsamahin ni Sharon sa iisang movie. But it didn't push through.
Can you imagine if Saan Darating ang Umaga went to Sharon and Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? to Maricel?
