Sharon Cuneta - Langis at Tubig (Duet with Vilma Santos, TSCS)

Vilma Santos' movie Langis at Tubig was a turning point in Sharon Cuneta's career. She sang the theme song of the movie at the age of 14 which was written by George Canseco. It was the beginning of a beautiful partnership between her and George. 

 The film was directed by Danny Zialcita who insisted her to join the parade in Cebu when Vilma couldn't make it (being pregnant with Luis Manzano at that time) with a promise that if she indeed join the parade, he will make her a movie. Then a few months after, Dear Heart was born. Along with it was the future megastar of Philippine showbiz. 

Incidentally, Vilma had a variety show called "Vilma In Person (VIP)" which started airing on August 8, 1986, a Friday in Channel 7. While Vilma held the Friday night slot, Sharon on the other hand, by September 14, 1986 held the Sunday night slot with "The Sharon Cuneta Show" in Channel 13. Every now and then, Sharon would pitch in as host in "VIP" whenever Vilma couldn't make it.
