In 2013 Vilma Santos headed a cast of "Ekstra." In 2014 Nora Aunor sought "Hustisya." In 2016 Judy Ann Santos invited her guests to her "Kusina." This year Sharon Cuneta will be joined by "Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha" as she graces the Cinemalaya film festival for the first time.

"I'm so honored," Sharon says. "Thank you so much."

This won't be possible if not for husband and wife team Mes and Rhea de Guzman. It was Rhea who thought of joining Sharon's script writing contest in 2013, and it was Mes who, instead of joining the contest, wrote a screenplay specifically for Sharon.

"Thank you direk Mes de Guzman and ate Rhea na ako ang naisip n'yo dito sa project na 'to. Thank you to Cinemalaya and to you both for the opportunity na makagawa ng ganitong pelikula."

Incidentally, "Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha" will also be Sharon's comeback after 8 years since Mano Po 6 under Regal Films. There was supposed to be another film to be made under Star Cinema before this but it didn't push through.

Lahat nasa kamay Niya at lahat pinapasa-Diyos ko so I believe that this is what He wants muna.

She always has her Sharonians in mind.

That's so important to me."

"You just don't know. You don't know kasi where I'm coming from so... Sa akin, it's so special. You are important to me. I love you all. Thank you so much."

With that, she invites not just her audience but the movie-going public to watch "Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha."

"I know bago po ito. Sana po abangan n'yo not just for me but let's support the independent film industry kasi ang dami ring obra na nakukuha dito. Kakaiba ito sa lahat ng nagawa ko."
