#ATSGotYouCovered: Sharon Cuneta Is Back on a Movie Set
It has been almost 8 years since Sharon Cuneta made a movie. There were attempts to do a movie since then but nothing materialized for different reasons. Even the making of her latest film "Ang Pamilyang Hindi Lumuluha" took the backseat for a while before the camera finally started to grind on May 20, 2017.
"(N)oong unang araw ko, hiyang-hiya ako dahil nanganganay ako," Sharon admits. "Tagalog na Tagalog ang mga linya ko kaya nagta-tongue twist ako pero maya-maya, okay na."
She further elaborates, "'Yong nanganganay ka na, 'Hindi TV set 'to'... tapos bago lahat ng kasama mo. Ni isa sa kanila never ko pang nakatrabaho."
Siya na rin ang gumawa ng paraan to break to ice. Nilabas niya ang pagiging komikera niya. Since then, naging kabiruan na niya sila. "Noong una, feeling ko naiilang 'yong staff and crew sa 'kin tapos mamaya, family na kami. Tawa na kami nang tawa."
Aside from that, it was new environment for her. This is her first independent film but she says, working with an independent studio is no different to doing films with major studios. Sa istorya nakasalalay ang magiging budget ng produksiyon.
"Parang nagshu-shooting ka lang ng Viva o Star na movie. Hindi naman makikita ang difference ng budget kasi ang story, simple lang. It's not like a huge production like 'Madrasta' ang makikita mo pero what the story calls for naman is gano'n, parang 'Pasan Ko ang Daigdig,' malaki ang budget pero kung titingnan mo ang story, simple lang."
However, it was really Mes de Guzman and wife Rhea who made her feel at ease and at home.
"Alagang-alaga ka. Feeling ko, thankful na thankful sila pero di nila alam na thankful na thankful naman ako." Sa kanyang wall posts kay Rhea, she admits how she misses the couple a lot and is looking forward to working with them again. It seems like her zest for work is back and is inspired to doing movies again.
