PLOT:
P.S. I Love You is a story of a budding teenage romance. Everything is going perfect for the young couple, but all of a sudden, to their surprise, Ate Shawee's mother is determined to keep them apart at all cost.

This movie is another Sharon Cuneta classic. The Sharon-Gabby loveteam is the most famous of all Sharon's loveteams in my opinion.

To make the story short, na-inlove si Gabby kay Sharon siempre. I like the way that the love story was told here. It was told in a good pace. Tama lang. Hindi masyadong mabilis, hindi masyadong mabagal. Hindi katulad ng mga love story ngayon na in a span of a day eh nagkakalablaban na ang mga characters.

In the end, it was explained why Boots hated Gabby so much (aside from the fact na anak si Gabby ni Eddie). It's a good twist, and I wasn't expecting it. That made the movie more meaningful to me.

Makikita mo sa movie na ito ang generation gap ng mga teenagers ngayon as compared to more than 20 years ago.

20+ years ago ito ang mga na-notice kong difference about teenagers sa movie:

  • Sobrang yaman nila. Tapos may private plane pa.
  • They are very respective of their elders. Although Sharon's mom was very unreasonable here, hindi sya dinis-respect ni Sharon. They solved their conflict in a very calm way. Very well done.
  • Very educated ang mga teenagers dito. The way they speak english, mapapa-wow ka talaga. They don't speak curses or swear words.
They spend their time doing sports, art, summer classes, etc.

In the end, I really love this movie. It was very nostalgic.

Gabby here was very, very sexy. I think he has the sexiest male body I have ever seen in Philippine movies.

Story-wise and script-wise, I give this film 5 Utots. Pero kung isasama natin ang cinematography, quality of the film at ang pagkaka-angkop ng sound, I give this film 4 Utots only. The quality of the film was not very good. Madumi. It would've helped kung ni-remaster ito. Yung background sounds, hindi angkop sometimes. Masyadong OA.

Bottomline is, this is a must-add for your collection.
